It’s personal. My dad was in a terrible car accident that changed our lives. He became a bilateral amputee, and at the time, he had no health insurance. I watched my father go through something no family is ever prepared for. About a year later, he passed away. He didn’t have life insurance either. That experience stayed with me. I learned very early that life does not give you a warning before it changes. You can be perfectly fine today, and tomorrow everything can be different. When something happens, love alone can’t pay the mortgage, replace an income, cover medical bills, or keep a business running. That’s where protection matters. ## I Turned My Pain Into Purpose I became licensed in Life and Health Insurance in 2012, and what started as a career became my calling. Over the years, I’ve helped thousands of people with their insurance, but the part I love most is educating them. If you know me, you know I will explain it to you. I don’t want you buying something just because I told you to. I want you to understand what you have, why you have it, what it protects, and what could happen if you don’t have it. I’ve seen the other side, and I’ve lived it. That passion is what became Legacy Builder Insurance Agency. ## Then I Became a Mommy. And whew… that changed everything. My daughter, Isabelle, my Bella, gave the word legacy a completely different meaning. Now I’m not just building for myself. I’m building for her. I want my daughter to grow up watching her mother build something from the ground up. I want her to know that there will be hard seasons and mistakes, and moments when you are tired, scared, frustrated, and have no idea how you’re going to figure it out. But you keep building. I don’t just want to leave Bella money or a business. I want to leave her an example: that her mother took her pain and turned it into purpose, took everything life threw at her, and still decided to build something beautiful. That’s my legacy, and it’s why the name Legacy Builder means so much to me. ## This Is Bigger Than Insurance. As a Haitian-American woman, I am especially passionate about educating Haitian, Caribbean, immigrant, multicultural, and underserved communities. I’ve seen too many people work incredibly hard to build a life, a family, a home, or a business without properly protecting what they’ve built. I want to change that.
